Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Handyman that will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks across commercial properties and job sites. This position requires broad technical skills and hands-on experience in general building maintenance, including painting, minor electrical work, carpentry, and general labor duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to maintain safe, functional, and professional facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on commercial buildings, facilities, and equipment.
  • Complete painting and finishing tasks, including surface prep, priming, and coating.
  • Conduct minor electrical repairs such as replacing switches, outlets, and light fixtures.
  • Handle light carpentry work, including door, trim, and drywall repairs.
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, and unclogging drains.
  • Assemble furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Assist with general labor and support for construction or renovation projects.
  • Respond promptly to work orders and service requests.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and basic blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as required.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Required travel between job sites.
  • Evening and or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
