Job Title: NPI Material Analyst
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite/Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced NPI Material Analyst to support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from prototype builds through mass production ramp. This role will be responsible for material readiness, supply planning, risk mitigation, supplier coordination, and build execution to ensure successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and weekly Clear-to-Build (CTB) analysis for prototype and production builds.
- Identify material shortages, supply risks, long lead-time components, and single points of failure (SPOFs); develop mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers, Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and internal teams to ensure material availability.
- Support prototype build phases, product launches, and production ramp activities.
- Analyze component costs, supplier quotations, and Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
- Drive second-source qualification activities and alternative component approvals.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Sourcing, and Finance teams to support NPI programs.
- Monitor build readiness and provide regular status reporting to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Procurement, or NPI within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with MRP planning, BOM management, material readiness, and supplier management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP Ariba.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Tableau, Power BI, or SQL is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Semiconductor, Consumer Electronics, Medical Devices, or High-Tech Manufacturing.
- Experience working with Component Suppliers, ODMs, and Contract Manufacturers.
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or PMP certification preferred.
- Exposure to NPI build phases (EVT, DVT, PVT) and production ramp activities
