Job Description
We are looking for a Utility Construction Coordinator to support utility construction projects from start to finish. This role will help coordinate schedules, field activities, crews, materials, permits, and project documentation to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to company standards.
The coordinator will work closely with field crews, supervisors, engineers, contractors, and project teams to support daily construction operations, resolve field issues, track project progress, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate utility construction projects through all phases
- Maintain project schedules and track progress
- Support pre-construction planning, materials, permits, and crew assignments
- Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor field work for compliance with standards and safety requirements
- Track milestones, completed work, and closeout activities
- Maintain project records, reports, change orders, and invoices
- Help resolve field issues and communicate risks or delays
- Support crew safety documentation and work clearances
Requirements
- Experience supporting utility or construction projects
- Understanding of underground/overhead electric, gas, or civil utility work
- Ability to read construction drawings, maps, and work packages
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
- Experience with Excel, scheduling tools, and project documentation
- Ability to work in both office and field environments
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
