Dock Hand

TPG Marinas is hiring a Dock Hand as part of the support team members for the 2025 Season. This full-time seasonal position will work directly with the TPG Marinas team to support the day to day needs of the marina including vessel cleaning and coordination of onboard provisions. This position will work with multiple departments within TPG Marinas to facilitate the marina running smoothly and ensure a high quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Fueling, launching, docking, and operating vessels
• Light maintenance of boats and equipment
• Regular use of hand tools
• Operation of boats, tractors, hoists, and other small equipment
• Light landscaping, cleaning, and facility maintenance
• Use of VHF radios
• Light office work to include use of computers, telephones, and mobile devices
• Ability to work the fuel dock and ensure customers are supported in their purchases
• Maintain cleanliness of the yachts: wash, polish chrome, clean teak floors, clean engine compartments, replace oil sorbs as needed.
• Outside dockhand position with schedule to include weekends and some holidays.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required
• Will be operating equipment to include tractors/mowers/hoist/etc
• Any other duties as assigned by TPG Marinas and the direct Manager
  
  

Required Skills & Abilities

• Must have excellent customer service and communications skills
• Must be able to work outdoors for long periods of time year round
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays and occasional evenings
• Must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs
• Some boating experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation for use during work day
• Ability to work on a team and independently.
• Ability to move into and out of small spaces that may require crouching, kneeling or crawling.
• General boating knowledge is a plus
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally kneel, stoop, bend and twist in tight areas. Comfortability with ladders and confined spaces is required. Ability to work in the elements regularly.
