Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to guarantee a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and staff alike. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and building interior systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs as needed to maintain the facility’s integrity and appearance.
• Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to manage building automation systems efficiently.
• Maintain facilities equipment including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical panels, and other critical infrastructure using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
• Supervise or assist with the installation of new equipment or upgrades while adhering to safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations by performing electrical work, plumbing repairs, and mechanical tasks following industry best practices.
• Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or renovations while maintaining excellent customer service standards for internal stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities through schematics documentation and logs for future reference.
• Delivering support to hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or engineering within a hospitality or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical equipment repair, plumbing system maintenance, and carpentry.
• Familiarity with schematics, electrical work, plumbing repairs, and troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools.
• Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance planning and record-keeping.
• Supervising or leadership experience is preferred to coordinate team efforts effectively.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their application in building automation is highly desirable.
• Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
• Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate with team members and contractors effectively.
