Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with Ambulatory Infusion Therapy experience for a contract assignment at a hospital in Brooklyn, NY.
Location: Brookdale Hospital
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: 06/22/2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x7.5 hour shifts per week (37.5 hours weekly)
Pay Rate: $78/hour
Weekly Gross (based on 37.5 hours): $2,925.00
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care, including patient education, discharge planning, and psychosocial support.
- Administer and monitor infusion therapies, chemotherapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Patient age-demographics pediatric, adult, and geriatric
- Observe, evaluate, document, and communicate patient responses to treatment, reporting significant changes to the interdisciplinary care team.
- Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure timely and effective treatment delivery and continuity of care.
- Support departmental operations through participation in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, orientation, committee involvement, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in New York State
- 2 years of prior experience in Ambulatory Infusion and Chemotherapy
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification required
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and clinical procedures
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- BSN or higher required
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
