Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, NY. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in emergency medicine, critical care, and trauma response, with a strong commitment to delivering prompt, accurate, and empathetic patient care. As an ER RN, you will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, providing life-saving interventions, and coordinating care within a fast-paced environment that demands precision and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as MEDITECH.
- Deliver emergency interventions including airway management, IV infusion, suturing, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to stabilize patients in critical conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with hospital protocols and trauma medicine standards.
- Manage triage processes efficiently to prioritize patient needs based on acuity levels in accordance with Level I and Level II trauma center standards.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and imaging procedures including CT scans and sonography when necessary.
Experience
- ACLS, BLS, PALS
- RN License in the state of NY
- 2 or more years of recent emergency room experience
- 1 year of travel experience
Details
- $70/hr.
- Nights- 7pm-7am
- Start Date: 08/24-travel only (must live 100 miles from facility)
- 36 hour guarantee
- 13 - Week Contract
