Die Cutter Operator
TPC Printing & Packaging – Chattanooga, TN
TPC Printing & Packaging is seeking a skilled and dependable Die Cutter Operator to join our Converting Department. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of die cutting equipment while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate die cutting equipment according to production specifications
- Perform job changeovers and make-ready processes efficiently
- Monitor production quality and make adjustments as needed
- Read and follow job tickets, production schedules, and customer specifications
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate larger concerns to maintenance personnel
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks
- Accurately complete production and downtime documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work effectively with supervisors, quality personnel, and fellow team members
Required
- Manufacturing experience
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read measuring devices and follow production specifications
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Preferred
- Die cutting experience in folding carton, packaging, or printing environments
- Experience operating Bobst, Novacut, or similar converting equipment
- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures
- Forklift experience
