The Marketing Communications Assistant is responsible for overseeing, developing, and quantifying all areas of member communication. This position works closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to design and distribute appropriate communications to the membership, maintain member/club websites, and create onsite printed materials for the respective club.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent education, plus a secondary education and/or a college degree preferred
- General knowledge of marketing, creative design, and communication practices and procedures as would be acquired through one to two years of similar experience
- Must be proficient in Windows based word processing, spreadsheets and presentation
- Must have previous social media experience in posting company marketing material
- Proficiency in e-mail communication system and multi-line telephone required
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Oversee and coordinate hosting of club website including ensuring adoption of brand and marketing, standards, staff training and implementation
- Coordinate with HQ Support, PGA TOUR Creative Services Department, other operating department and other external vendors on the development, design, and coordination of membership and prospect communications such as e-mail communications, e-newsletters, and program campaigns, etc
- Oversee daily coordination, maintenance, and regular updates of all member communications
- Provide Director of Sales & Marketing with monthly marketing analytics for member communications, social media growth, email open rates, and any other related analytics
- Provide a clearinghouse and plan for posters, fliers, club calendar distribution and all other printed communication for each department
- Create, monitor, and update club social media outlets
- Answers the telephone within TPC Standards, courteously and promptly
- Directs caller to destination and records name, time of call, nature of business, and person called upon.
- Types memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
- Collects and distributes mail and messages
- Special projects or other duties as assigned

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; kneel; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
