Host Responsibilities

• Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact

• Escort guests to their assigned dining area and present menus

• Use visual cues to seat guests based on availability and guest preference

• Inform guests of current promotions and ensure a smooth handoff to the service team

• Answer incoming calls and provide appropriate guest service

• Manage the flow of guests into the dining area and provide accurate wait times when needed

• Prioritize guests with reservations

• Remain observant of guest needs throughout the dining experience

• Support dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beverages

• Protect the establishment and guests by following sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies

Floor Assistant Responsibilities

• Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift

• Promptly greet guests once they are seated and provide water

• Remove used tableware between courses and provide new tableware as needed

• Clear tables after guests leave and bring tableware to the dish area

• Clean and reset tabletops, chairs, booths, and surrounding floor areas between seating

• Respond appropriately to guest requests

• Assist with prompt food delivery

• Thank guests as they are leaving

• Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations

• Follow direction from the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor

• Attend scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement

• Assist with additional tasks as needed, including light food preparation when necessary

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• Minimum 2 years of serving experience required

• Paid Food Handler Card training provided

• Responsible Beverage Service certification, if required

• Ability to provide friendly, professional, and attentive guest service

• Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures

• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members

• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

• Flexible and adaptable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and sanitation standards

• Basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system

• Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements and food handling safety standards
