Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as a Lumper. As a Lumper, you will be responsible for assisting with the unloading and repalletizing of freight. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the use of equipment such as pallet jacks and rider jacks.
Duties:
- unload and repalletize freight from trucks or containers
- Sort and organize incoming shipments
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, and rider jacks
- Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and weights
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Skills:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50-70 lbs.) repeatedly throughout the day
- Proficiency in operating equipment such as pallet jacks, and rider jacks
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and verifying quantities
- Good physical stamina to withstand long periods of standing, bending, and lifting
Shift times: early shift start time 6:00 am, Late shift start time 10:00 am
