The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is looking for a passionate Reading Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will work one-on-one with students who require reading intervention and support, using evidence-based strategies to enhance literacy skills.Position: Reading TherapistLocation: On site at our learning center or remotelyClassification: Contract (1099)Compensation: Competitive hourly rateThe Role:Provide individualized instruction and support to students diagnosed with ASD1/ASD2Utilize various assessment tools to identify specific areas of need for each student.Develop and implement personalized literacy plans that address students' unique challenges.Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed.Collaborate with parents and educators to communicate student progress and strategies for support.Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to achieve their reading goals.RequirementsMaster’s degree in Reading Education, Special Education, or Speech Language PathologyCertification as a Reading Specialist or similar credential is a plus.Experience working with students diagnosed with ASD1/ASD2Strong understanding of reading intervention strategies and evidence-based practices.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to build rapport and encourage students to enhance their reading skills.Availability to work flexible hours, including after-school and weekend sessions.BenefitsReliable weekly schedule Opportunity to help students achieve their college goalsNo marketing required
