About the role
A major financial services firm is standing up a dedicated QA automation team to support its trading and post trade platforms. This is hands on automation work focused on testing cloud based microservices and APIs that carry trades through their full lifecycle. You will help build a unified, reliable automation framework and bring real regression coverage to systems that are central to the business.
What you'll be doing
- Build and maintain automated regression and end to end tests across both legacy and modern Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Test microservices and APIs (this is the bulk of the work, not UI heavy)
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for automated regression and on demand runs
- Improve test coverage across critical trading workflows: order entry, routing, execution, status updates, amendments, cancellations, corrections, and trade validation
- Strengthen test data management and reduce flakiness so results are consistent and trustworthy
- Contribute to framework documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to internal teams
What you need
- Strong, hands on AWS experience (required, all systems are cloud based)
- Java based test automation
- Selenium for UI automation
- Cucumber / BDD experience
- API and microservices testing
- CI/CD pipeline integration
- Experience testing trading, OMS, or post trade / capital markets systems is a major plus
