Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in warehouse operations, materials handling, and inventory management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient warehouse distribution, order fulfillment, and shipping & receiving processes. The Warehouse Associate will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring accurate stock control to support seamless supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Manage inventory control.
- Handle shipping & receiving tasks by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly storing items in designated locations.
- Conduct heavy lifting and materials handling activities while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent workplace injuries.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse management system workflows and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Assist with load & unload operations for incoming supplies or outgoing shipments using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse environments with a strong understanding of inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and materials handling.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during stock movement activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
