Responsibilities And Duties
- Coordination, installation, and maintenance of sanitary, storm, water, oil, and gas fixtures and equipment for plumbing systems and heating and cooling equipment systems.
- Communicate with all jobsite personnel, including subcontractors.
- Able to follow orders or lead and delegate.
- Plumbing and heating systems involve coordination, installation, and repair of sanitary, storm, water, oil, and gas fixtures and equipment for plumbing and heating and cooling equipment systems for heating.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, communicate with all jobsite personnel, including subcontractors, and represent TP Mechanical Contractors professionally.
- Able to follow directions or lead and delegate.
- Manage materials for on-time work completion. Optimizes material use.
- Helps project manager and superintendent solve project issues quickly and accurately.
- Coaches lower-level mechanic and assistance production and quality. Encourages job-site training.
- Prioritizes safety at task start-ups.
- Fills out project-specific forms, modifications, and tool/equipment/material requirements.
- Interprets blueprints.
- Plans optimize manpower and other resources.
- Timely work completion and specifications compliance .
- Field-fabricates plumbing and pipe systems and schedules tasks.
- Adjusts work sequences to meet construction timelines.
- Fixes and distributes punch-list items.
- Minimum 10 years in commercial plumbing.
- Prior shop experience is a plus.
- Stable employment history.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation.
- Adequate knowledge and skill in utilizing both hand and power tools.
- Able to do basic take-offs.
- Able to install equipment.
- Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.
- Correctable eyesight to 20/50.
- Ability to work long hours on foot.
- Able to life and climb ladders and scaffolds.
- Able to perform shift work must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60lbs.
- Adaptability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Journeyman's License.
- Must provide own basic hand tools.
- Able to operate heavy machinery.
- OSHA 10 certification.
