What are the responsibilities and job description for the FORKLIFT DRIVER (1st shift) position at TP Mechanical Contractors LLC?
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Load, unload, pack, and unpack materials and pipe of all types and sizes.
- Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Relocate items within the warehouse.
- Operate a forklift, winch, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.
- Track inventory of incoming and outgoing items.
- Carefully handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials whenever necessary.
- Operating Raymond Reach , Dock Stocker and Cherry Picker
- Using Rf Scanner to pick orders.
- Replenishing inventory.
- General cleaning duties.
- Must be versatile to work in other departments.
- Provide consistent and detailed order picking / loading / staging.
- Process orders based on order timelines and instructions.
- Identify and source materials from appropriate locations, utilize appropriate equipment to process orders.
Provide proper maintenance of equipment and keep the work area clean and safe for customers and other employees.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Warehouse experience (preferred)
- Must have 1 years of experience on all forklifts.
- Job Skills:
- Safety
- Attention to detail
- Loading and Unloading skills
- Communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Inventory control
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Capable of climbing ladders and on/off equipment, etc.
- Special Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Rigging certification (preferred)
