Quality Assurance Team Member - 2nd Shift

Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections according to control plans and work instructions.

• Document inspection results and maintain accurate inspection records.

• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material following established procedures.

• Perform first-piece inspections at the start of production runs or when setting up new tooling.

• Operate specialized equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.

• Calibrate or verify the calibration status of inspection equipment before use.

• Communicate quality issues to team leaders, supervisors, or engineering promptly.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality or process reliability.

• Follow all safety policies, including proper PPE usage and safe handling of materials.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in inspection areas (5S practices).

Qualifications

• Strong work performance and attention to detail.

• Good attendance and reliable work habits.

• Ability to read and understand work instructions, control plans, and basic technical documents.

• Basic math and measurement skills; ability to use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) or willingness to learn.

• Ability to identify nonconformance and follow appropriate escalation procedures.

• Good communication skills for reporting issues to supervisors, team leaders, and production staff.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks as required by the inspection process.

• Prior quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
