Position: Rental Coordinator
Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.00
Purpose of Role
You’ll manage rental for customers, ensuring smooth, efficient, and professional rental transactions. You act as a front‐line representative of the dealership, responsible for customer satisfaction, vehicle readiness, and accurate administrative work. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers when they arrive to pick up or return rental/loaner vehicles; assist them through the check‐in / check‐out process.
- Handle reservations: take bookings via phone, in person; confirm availability.
- Review and complete all rental agreements, ensuring all required documentation is accurate (driver’s license, insurance, signatures, etc.).
- Inspect vehicles before and after rentals for damage, cleanliness, fuel level, mileage; document condition and report issues.
- Manage vehicle readiness; ensure rental fleet is in good condition.
- Track rental fleet status: availability, scheduling, utilization, mileage, fuel, maintenance and any damage.
- Process payments, collect fees, calculate charges for extra days or damages, reconcile cash/credit transactions.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns or complaints related to rentals; escalate when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Prior experience in customer‐service, rental operations, automotive dealership, or fleet management preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks (reservations, inspections, payments) at once.
- Solid communication skills (verbal & written); ability to explain policies, fees, damages clearly to customers.
