Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests.
- Provide detailed explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, transmissions, suspension work, alignments, and diesel engine repairs.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance options that enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting customer needs.
- Prepare accurate auto estimates using service writing software; communicate repair timelines clearly to customers.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, track progress, and ensure timely completion of services.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing automotive care.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance. Preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes.Preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in upselling services such as oil changes, brake repair, alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, tire service, suspension work, and auto body repair.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers of varying knowledge levels.
- Customer service skills combined with a sales-oriented mindset to promote automotive services effectively.
