Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Technician located in Franklin, IN. The Quality Assurance Technician will perform daily tasks such as conducting quality control tests, ensuring compliance with established quality standards, calibrating tools and equipment, analyzing data to identify potential issues, and contributing to quality management initiatives. The role also involves working collaboratively to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Experience and skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes
- Proficiency in Quality Management principles and practices
- Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate data and identify areas for improvement
- Familiarity with Calibration procedures and related tools
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively
- Basic proficiency in relevant software and data recording systems
- Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus
- Daily precise measurement of machined works using CMM, roundness tester and surface tester to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Use of micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, profilometers, surface plate setups to perform tests.
- Measurement of degree of contamination in products, hydraulic oil and cleaning solution. Particulate size mapping.
- Audit, review, and update written work procedures.
- Administration of measurement instruments and tools both in measurement room and factory floor.
- Enters gage calibration reports and new gages in GageTrak Calibration Software.
- Ability to read part prints and determine inspection method for characteristics.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
