The Role

What You’ll Be Doing
- Participate in cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and select sources that demonstrate market segment leadership and increase value to our organization
- Create, maintain, and execute procurement commodity strategies for the assigned categories
- Improve quality and delivery by leading supplier selection and developing improvement plans through monitoring supplier performance regularly and leading key initiatives
- Develop, distribute, and analyze RFPs/RFQs and collect proposals to support competitive sourcing decisions.
- Lead negotiations and assist with contract management.
- Eliminate supply chain risk by addressing concerns and supporting internal stakeholders in the event of imminent supply risk.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the procurement function and across the supply chain.
- Collaborate in Toyota Material Handling Group (TMHG) initiatives that promote global synergy.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Proficient with MS Office applications and highly skilled in Excel
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Must be able to problem solve and handle multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead commodity strategy development autonomously basely on objective and subjective criteria
- CSPM or APICS certification is a plus
- Results oriented and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at any level
- This is an in-person role located at either our Greene, NY or Columbus, IN offices—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
- Travel: up to 25-30% (domestic and international)
