We are seeking a proactive and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team!
Duties/Responsibilities:
People Development
- Partner with department leaders to create career development paths for employees to assist with career growth and retention.
- Lead the organization’s annual performance management & merit process, guiding leaders to provide constructive, value-add feedback, to enhance an employee’s performance in their role.
- Continuously analyze performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements to the performance management process.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify key positions and develop the appropriate level of succession planning to ensure there is a pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Work with HR Manager to analyze current training development programs and recommend new initiatives and/or modifications to existing programs.
Business Acumen & Compliance
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation as well as upkeeping the employee handbook for modifications
- Conduct regular meetings with business leaders to discuss workforce planning and identify HR strategies that support business objectives.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Processes terminations and conduct exit interviews when appropriate.
- Manages the LOA process and accommodation requests (ADA, FMLA, STD, LTD).
Change Management & Culture
- Partner with the HR Manager to develop communication plans to inform employees about organizational changes and their impact.
- Supports with company culture initiatives and identifies engagement opportunities
- Leads new hire orientation for respective brands
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Identify HR areas where the business unit level and/or individual leaders, would benefit from.
Employee Relations
- Manages and resolves employee relations issues, workplace matters, conflict resolution, etc.
- Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations with support from HR Manager.
- Provide 1:1 performance management guidance to leaders to ensure they are appropriately coaching, counseling, developing, or disciplining employees.
Required Skills/Abilities and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources, with least 2-3 years in a business partner role.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to educate, influence, and indirectly lead individuals and people leaders.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to treat confidential information with sensitivity.
- Basic project management skills.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
