We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance & Licensing Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys navigating the complexities of multi-state regulatory requirements. Your work will help safeguard the organization’s ability to operate across multiple states by ensuring licensing and regulatory obligations are met accurately and on time.
Job Overview
Working closely with the Company’s General Counsel and Managing Counsel, Insurance, the Compliance and Licensing Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining all licenses and registrations required for the Company and its direct affiliates, including insurance agency licenses, telemarketing and “do-not-call” registrations, secretary of state registrations, and other registrations, licenses, filings or renewals identified by the Legal team. This position will be a key member of the Legal team and will also work closely with individuals in accounting and operations to ensure timely implementation and renewal of all required licenses/registrations, etc. Additional responsibilities include compliance-related tasks pertaining to data handling, privacy and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Job Responsibilities
- Research state laws, regulations, requirements, and guidance pertaining to licenses and registrations
- Review and accurately complete forms or applications related to licenses and registrations
- Track and monitor deadlines for implementing or renewing licenses/registrations/related filings
- Participate in and support regulatory risk assessments and audits
- Handle all compliance management and reporting activities
- Develop and maintain contract management system
- Other projects assigned by the General Counsel
- Four-year college degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years paralegal training or other comparable experience preferred
- Candidates with prior compliance experience related to company, agent and producer licensing/registration preferred
- Experience in the insurance and/or financial services industries is a plus
- Proficient at Microsoft Work suite of applications
- Knowledge of the Scrum Ceremonies
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
- Strong research skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Respect for others
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
