What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Remarketing Manager position at Toyota Industries?
Remarketing of Equipment
- Maximizes profitability of remarketed and trade-in assets through online platforms, dealer networks, and other remarketing channels.
- Manages all aspects of resale transactions including pricing, invoicing, coordination with accounting, logistics scheduling, and documentation.
- Develops a working understanding of used retail and remarketing billings and how performance compares to monthly and annual budget targets.
- Partners with the Wholesale Manager to ensure a proper flow of equipment out of retail into the Remarketing fleet for sale.
- Actively pursues equipment from all avenues with TCF in order to meet revenue goals and maintain purchasing percentage. This excludes those that would overlap with the Wholesale Manager role.
- Sources equipment from leasing partners and internal operations to meet inventory and revenue objectives.
- Works with other Toyota dealers to purchase and/or sell remarketing equipment.
- Collaborate with the Used Department to expand and optimize the Used Retail portfolio by focusing on high-volume, "as-is" equipment offerings that maintain Toyota reliability while delivering a more accessible price point.
Sourcing Equipment
- Builds and maintains partnerships with external dealers, buyers, and remarketing networks to expand resale opportunities.
- Assists with locating equipment for specialty products, used & rental departments
Inventory Management
- Controls and Manages inventory levels to move equipment quickly and efficiently, through cooperation with the local Operations Managers.
- Maintains current inventory by ProLift location and provides Operations Managers with transportation updates.
- Participates in the bi-annual corporate physical inventory counts & reconciliation.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Job Requirements:
- High school diploma, Bachelor's degree or certificate preferred
- 10 years equipment management required
- Sales experience required
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Good administrative and accounting skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be able to make quick, informed decisions and work with constant interruption.
- Good leadership and listening skills
- Must be comfortable working with internal and external customers
- Must follow-up appropriately with internal and external customers and pay attention to details
- Must have a high level of organization in order to manage a high level of current and future inventory
Working Conditions and Abilities (including but not limited to):
- Travel required to all ProLift locations as well as occasional customer visits; 15% average amount of travel
- Must be able to work in a collaborative environment
- Occasionally work around exhaust fumes, gas, diesel, solvents, paints, thinners, etc.
- Frequent walking with occasional up and down stairs
- Lift/Push/Pull objects up to 50 lbs. -- occasionally;
- Perform gross body coordination such as walking, bending and stooping
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
