Job Overview
The Production Control Specialist will support the development of schedules for equipment, raw materials, and manpower to meet customer demand. This role involves establishing and maintaining inventory levels for all raw material and finished goods products in support of a just-in-time (JIT) production schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Production Management to develop schedules for equipment, raw materials, and manpower.
- Evaluate and determine methods to solve problems within the department.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve communication and reduce finished goods inventory.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least one year of working experience in production control/planning function or inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience applying TPS, JIT, 5S, and other Lean Manufacturing methodologies under a continuous improvement philosophy.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office programs.
