The Role:
We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Maintenance Coordinator who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining optimized maintenance inventory levels to prevent inventory shortages and overages, while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain inventory control of parts stock and order parts as needed for the Maintenance Department.
- Manage all purchase orders and related documentation for maintenance parts and services.
- Check incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Evaluate and maintain appropriate safety stock levels to balance inventory availability with cost efficiency.
- Locate and evaluate suppliers using catalogs, online sources, and price comparisons to identify the best options.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Manager, technicians, and external suppliers to support timely and cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in developing efficient maintenance schedules and ensuring parts availability for upcoming jobs.
- Handle administrative tasks for the Maintenance Department, including maintaining a clean and organized parts shop, leading morning toolbox talks, and serving as the point of contact for Toyota Heavy Duty, vendors, and contractors.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong ability to interface with multi-faceted, cross-functional teams.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, with flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong inventory experience, with familiarity in using CMMS or other inventory software tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience in troubleshooting using schematics and diagrams
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
What Sets You Apart:
- Electrical experience is preferred
- Fast-paced individual willing to cross-train
- Experience with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is a plus
Where and When You'll Work:
- This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
- Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package Will Look Like:
Wage - $35 - $40 per hour
