Toyon Research Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team developing advanced aerospace products for critical national defense systems.
This position requires a strong background in mechanical analysis, design and drafting. The mechanical engineer will play an integral role throughout the design process; from conceptualization, detailed analysis and design, release of technical drawing packages, through the development of manufacturing processes and specifications.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
- B.S. or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 or more years of experience designingstructures encountering challenging vibration, shock, and temperature environments
- Experience with the various elements of mechanical analysis and design, including selection ofstructural materials, adhesive and fastener selection; AMSE Y14.5, other relevant ASME draftingstandards and modern Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) practices; familiarity withISO 9001/AS9100/MIL Specifications as they apply to flight structures
- Ability to work in a team environment involving experts in diverse disciplines, incorporating inputsfrom electrical and aeronautical engineers to create functional and robust designs
- Experienced using parametric CAD software to create models of assemblies, parts and drawings.
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) tools for design collaboration and revision control preferred but not required
