Our Aerospace Systems Group provides innovative technical solutions to support aerospace programs for the Department of Defense (DoD) and their agencies. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer to join a team for the design, fabrication, and fielding of aerospace vehicles.
Responsibilities
The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Responsibilities
- Conduct thermal, aerothermal, structural, and related analysis in support of flight vehicle development
- Generate comprehensive technical briefings and progress updates for internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate and oversee manufacturing activities
- Organize/Orchestrate activities in support of hypersonic testing activities
- B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience; or M.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in design, analysis, and assembly of high-tolerance aerospace hardware
- A strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and the application of mathematical principles in the fields of mechanics of materials, structural, fluid mechanics, and engineering mechanics.
- Computer-aided software experience with Solidworks and Creo
- Experience using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or hypersonic flowfield tools
- 10-25% travel
