Toyoda Gosei Missouri (TGMO) has an opening for a Learning Specialist in the Human Resources department. The Learning Specialist is responsible for providing professional level development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs. They will be responsible for training content development, lead training classes, evaluate and improve training effectiveness for TGMO and TG (Toyoda Gosei) AMCs (Manufacturing Companies).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Training Manager, subject matter expert and leadership, develop TG University and location-based training strategies and methods to educate, enhance and recognize performance
- Support the design and development of training programs
- Coordinates, facilitate and lead employee and leadership development programs home and potentially various TG locations
- Create, maintain and update training procedure manuals, guides and course material
- Identify and assess training needs of staff through discussions with leadership/team members and surveys
- Produce training materials for in-house courses as appropriate. Amend and revise materials as necessary, to adapt to changes that occur
- Develop methods for and evaluate training program effectiveness and impacts (evaluation, survey, audits)
- Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
- Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork is crucial to organizational success
- Provide appropriate feedback on oral and written work
- Basic administration, such as keeping team member registers and attendance records during training
- Work with LMS Specialist to build or input information in the LMS: courses, offerings, rosters, etc.
- Mentor, audit and provide feedback to instructors and on-site experts
- Attend and contribute to training sessions (future internal, external sessions)
- Maintain awareness and understand the roles and responsibilities regarding the environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets by attending the required training. Perform all tasks in accordance with the EMS procedures and practices and minimize the impact of their activities on the environment
- Evaluate training results and efforts to improve
- Run report or create dashboards to show the results
- Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts (kaizen)
- This role requires the completion of other duties as assigned
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Certifications and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent years of experience is required
- SHRM certification is preferred
Experience
- 1 to 4 years of experience in training and/or development is required
- Previous manufacturing environment experience is preferred
- Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of a project
