Summary
Routes inbound shipments of raw materials and determines best freight route and best cost for TGMO.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Determines transportation needs and select the preferred carrier.
Negotiates discounts, milk runs and track dollars spent.
Verifies product class to insure correct billing.
Files claims with carriers when damaged product is received.
Schedules delivery of product.
Audits freight bills and approves for payment.
Sets up, expedites, and tracks premium and excessive freight to meet TS requirements.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
