Accounting Manager

Summary:

Responsible for a variety of duties including leading the accounting team, managing month-end close, improving processes, analyzing expenses, and preparing budget(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Team leadership
• Deeply understands other accountants’ workflows and ability to judge performance
• Manages team to meet established due dates for monthly and close cycles
• Reviews other accountants work
• Assesses and proposes training opportunities for team\
• Manages budget for Accounting Department

Process owner

• Accountable for all accounting processes, documentation, SOX compliance
• Owner of all accounting drives and tasks with improving organization
• Incrementally improves accounting workbooks and processes for accuracy/efficiency
• Accounts Receivable
• Manages intricate Accounts Receivable
• Reconcile A/R accounts during close process

Inventory

• Performs month-end reconciliation
• Super user for inventory modules and ERP workflows
• Point person for all cycle counts and annual audits of inventory

Monthly close

• Responsible for timely completion of all close tasks, per TTJ deadlines
• Works with General Managers upon completion of all entries for review and adjustments
• Miscellaneous duties
• Back up approver for disbursements
• Assist finance team with developing budgets and forecasts
• Assist finance team with preparation of audit package and external reports
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience with Accounts Payable, software, and controls.
• Ability to clearly communicate with all internal and external relationships.
• Understanding of fundamental accounting principles
• Understanding of manufacturing environment
• Budget development experience
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word
• Ability to produce detailed and accurate deliverables
• Experience working in mid-tier ERP software

Education/Experience:

• Four-year college/university degree and three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
