• Toyo Seat USA is seeking a Buyer to join our Purchasing team. This is a fast paced, hands-on position for a candidate who enjoys being an integral member of the team who takes a concept and turns it into an innovative seating solutions. Candidates for the Buyer must be self-directed and process oriented.

Job DescriptionThe Buyer coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment and supplies for the entire Toyo Seat USA in the most efficient manner. This position will work within cross-functional teams to resolve complex procurement problems while implementing strategies that align to both operational requirements and internal objectives.Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities:

• Sources and negotiates with potential suppliers, RFQ’s, evaluates and analyzes results and recommends suppliers based on Toyo Seat standards.
• Works with Engineering, Manufacturing and other team members to find cost savings opportunities.
• Benchmark assigned commodities and conducts market test research.
• Performs cost analysis with a thorough understanding of cost factors.
• Sources “best values” products through domestic, international and LCC suppliers.
• Archives cost reduction goals for assigned commodities in support of corporate directive.
• Possesses an understanding of contractual language and the fundamental skills for contractual writing.
• Evaluates supplier performance, stability and institutes improvements and corrective action as required.
• Interface with suppliers on production part PPAP’s and quality issues.
• Prepares and monitors documents such as blanket and tooling purchase orders, equipment requisitions, cost reduction worksheets, analysis spreadsheets and industry trends of assigned commodities.
• Participates and supports APQP activities in new product launch activities.
• Compiles and evaluates data for various weekly, monthly and annual reports (cost reduction, market fluctuation, LCC, supplier ratings, budget variance and supplier expenditure’s).
• Visits supplier locations for VA/VE workshops, tool audits, readiness audits, etc.
• Understanding of Customer Specific Requirements.
• Understanding IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 Requirements that are associated with Toyo Seat.
• Assist in training levels of Associates regarding IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 Documentation Requirements.
• Review opportunities and risk, maintain goals and objectives by monitoring the organizational metrics and plans for Supplier Management and Supplier Audit Program.
• Performs other duties as necessary
