Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating collectibles that match their interests and needs
• Demonstrate product features and conduct engaging product demos to highlight collectible items’ uniqueness and value
• Provide expert advice on collectibles, including their history, rarity, and value to enhance customer confidence and satisfaction
• Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring smooth cashiering and cash handling processes
• Upsell complementary items or higher-value collectibles to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store is well-merchandised to attract customers’ attention
• Handle cash register operations, including balancing the cash drawer at shift end and maintaining accurate retail math for transactions
• Supervise or assist with inventory management, including stocking new items and conducting product demos to educate customers about featured collectibles
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, retail sales transactions, and cash drawer handling
• Spanish or portuguese is a plus
• Strong supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product details and engage customers effectively
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base more inclusively
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and inventory management practices
• Experience with upselling strategies to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Familiarity with grocery store or retail sales environments is advantageous for understanding fast-paced settings
• Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations such as change, discounts, and totals
• Demonstrated customer service excellence with professional phone etiquette and friendly demeanor
• Ability to conduct product demos confidently, showcasing collectibles’ features to inspire purchase decisions

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
