Job Description: Embroidery Operator
Embroidery Operator – Full-Time, Second Shift | Monday–Thursday Schedule | 3-Day Weekends!
Summary:
Embroidery Operator will embroider garments per specifications of the customer while assuring the accuracy of the order and the safe operation and maintenance of the machinery while meeting our production standards. The Embroidery Operator will also be able to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks that need urgent attention. Moreover, the operator should be able to select the appropriate color threads and tools suiting the design requirements.
Responsibilities
- Check the order against the paperwork to confirm receiving the correct sizes and colors.
- Load the digitized design into the embroidery machine and program the proper color steps.
- Check proposed design against paperwork to confirm that it matches the required color, size and placement.
- Hooping the garment securely with the appropriate hoop to allow for proper sewing.
- Check completed goods against paperwork and sign off.
- Observe sewing operation to detect defects in stitching that indicate machine malfunction and notify the team leader. If possible, adjust cause of the malfunction to correct the defects.
- Regularly inspect product during the entire order process for quality and maintain a production flow that meets or exceeds delivery goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
- Must have a strong work ethic and flexibility
- Must exhibit a positive, friendly and helpful attitude with customers, co-workers, and management staff
- Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Must follow directions from management and work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of computers and email.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and rectify problems
- Not required but knowledge of Tajima embroidery machines
- Having an eye for detail and skilled hands
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
