Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and energetic activities aid to join our team for 11a- 7pm shift. This role plays a key part in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning and facilitating engaging and meaningful activities that promote socialization, cognitive functioning and emotional well-being. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient and enjoys working with older adults in a team setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting and planning, prepping and leading one on one or group activities for residents
- Escorting residents to and from activities.
- Encouraging residents' participation in scheduled programs and provide companionship for those who need assistance
- Maintain records of resident attendance and participation
- Assist with set up and clean up.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, dietary and other departments to meet the needs of the residents.
