Full-Time Housekeeping Manager for Established Building Service Contractor in Tri Cities Area
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and proven customer relationship skills, will have a proven and verifiable track record successfully managing a large housekeeping or janitorial staff and has the ability to represent our firm in a highly professional manner. The candidate must have 5 years experience in the industry, or a related industry, and have the motivation to succeed in a challenging work environment.
Job Description:
- Directly Supervise 15 employees whom primarily work day and evening shifts.
- Discipline employees who fail to meet company performance levels and/or disregard company rules and regulations
- Adhere to strict client guidelines regarding performance of housekeeping staff and scope or work
- Administer Monthly Safety Training Program
- Strictly monitor and enforce operating budget
- Establish and maintain excellent communication with on-site management office.
- Perform weekly site inspections to ensure contract scope of work is being met and fulfilled.
- Immediately address client complaints and work towards resolution.
- Work closely senior executives.
QUALIFICATIONS: * B.A. degree preferred but not required
- Exceptional business and managerial skill
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel.
- Possess a Valid CA driver’s license
- Be able to pass a criminal background check
- Bilingual Spanish Preferred
COMPENSATION: Salary and Healthcare Coverage
Requirements and Qualifications Effective English reading and speaking skills are preferred. This includes the ability to speak clearly and fully comprehend written and spoken English, and will include communication with people from whom English is a second language. Must be at least 18 years of age; possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
Physical Abilities
- Physical strength, agility and endurance to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time. Bend/reach, lift, pull or push objects weighing up to 50-100 pounds or more. Climb ladders and operate heavy machinery. Bend, crouch, and maneuver body in tight, cramped quarters. Twist body at 45 degree angles. Wear personal protective and safety gear when appropriate. Exposure to cleaning agents and chemicals, dust and other environmental conditions is expected in janitorial work. Furniture moving requires the use of appliance dollies, desk movers, a flatbed truck with lift and physical strength.
