HOURLY RATE: $17.00/hour.
THE BREAKFAST ATTENDANT POSITION: Discovery Capital is looking to hire a part-time Breakfast Attendant for our hotel; The Towneplace Suites by Marriott. This position will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and replenishing a variety of food and beverage items, cleaning and maintaining kitchen and eating areas; greeting and serving guests.
BREAKFAST ATTENDANT DESCRIPTION:
- Performs a variety of food preparation duties, such as repairing hot and cold breakfast foods and drinks.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests by accommodating their needs to the best of our ability.
- Responsible for setting up and replenishing all food items.
- Greets and serves guests as demand is needed.
- Remain highly visible and be readily available to accommodate guest needs at all times during shift.
- Perform quality assurance (QA) requirements for department.
- Immaculately cleans and maintains kitchen, equipment, utensils, service and eating areas.
- Brew coffee, tea, etc.
- Operates cooking equipment.
- Orders supplies, puts up stock, and keeps records.
- Maintains Brand Standards and Health Department requirements.
- Take initiative to offer assistance or answer questions throughout the hotel.
- Regularly inspect equipment/breakfast area and submit any needs for maintenance to our General Manager in a timely manner.
- Perform all shift checklist responsibilities.
- Support team members to ensure the team’s entire workload is completed daily.
- May be asked to operate a motor vehicle in the course of running errands for the hotel.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
BREAKFAST ATTENDANT JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work weekdays as well as weekends. Shift schedule would be 5am to 11am Monday, Thursday, Friday, as well as 6am to 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Previous experience within food service or the hotel industry, preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Able to interact professionally with all guests and staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
- Ability to work in a fast-pace, high-energy and demanding work environment.
- Ability to work as a team player with all levels of associates.
- Dedicated, hard-working, self-motivated.
- Ability to solve basic equipment problems and/or who to contact for resolution.
- Prompt and regular attendance.
- Ability to work flexible hours and/or overtime as required. The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and associates may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work and overtime as required.
