General Description:
· The AGM is responsible for assisting manager with all aspects of hotel operations, ongoing satisfaction of hotel guests and increasing sales through efficient sales and relationship building techniques. The AGM needs to have an analytical mindset and be able seek out new business and maintain current business. As required by all team members, the AGM is required to provide the highest quality of service at all times.
Job Duties:
· AGM can be evaluated at regular intervals on their ability to bring in business for the hotels.
· AGM must be able to identify and court the guests with selling the benefits and amenities of the hotels.
· Must be able to follow up with guests to help close all contracts.
· Must be knowledgeable of the hotels and local community.
· AGM must be able to maintain all accounts brought into the hotels.
· Must be able to generate leads.
· Must be able to meet or exceed sales goals.
· Motivate and energize the staff to make proactive decisions in all their communication with guests.
· Access the competitive landscape and institute changes to the sales program in response to competitors’ changes.
· Must be able to work hand in hand with hotel management team to ensure that open communication goes accordingly for guests.
· AGM must be able to pursue revenue goals and utilize yield management and revenue tools.
· Must be able to analyze data in STR reports, brand reports, etc. and be able to make sound judgements and take notice to trends in these reports.
· Motivate, train and coach team members on how to assist in sales leads.
· Work analytically on RFP’s and LNR’s to ensure consistent guest business.
· Work closely with team members on preparing and implementing marketing plans, calls to key accounts and potential clients, and capitalize on all revenue opportunities.
· Solicit new accounts and maintain existing accounts. Coordinate sales blitz with sales.
· Assist and develop new ideas for marketing and sales of the hotel with the manager.
· Attend organization and chamber meetings.
· Acquainted with all aspects of hotel and job duties of each staff position in the hotel.
· Have a thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and how to follow the steps.
· Supervise, manage, and coordinate activities of staff in front office area.
· Assist manager in ongoing training sessions and seminars.
· Assist Manager with staff meetings.
· Assist Manager with interviewing and hiring staff members.
· Ensures guests are handled courteously and efficiently, complaints and problems are resolved and request for services are carried through in a very timely manner.
· Verify daily printout listing guest arrivals and GSA receives guest folios.
· Correspond with group and travel agents to answer special requests for rooms and rates.
· Delegate and train GSA in all aspects of front desk operations and coordinating information with housekeeping and maintenance with assistance of manager.
· Acquainted with all aspects of hotel and job duties of each staff position in the hotel.
· Have a thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and how to follow the steps.
· Interact with guests for guest feedback and maintaining hotel service scores.
· Being part of team to maintain high guest service scores.
· Perform all other duties as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

Basic Criteria:
· Must be well organized and professional at all times. Must be dressed in professional business attire at all times. Must have excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to take responsibility and delegate to others.
