Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties across various areas including patient rooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitized in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and environmental services standards
- Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to uphold safety and appearance standards
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and other janitorial materials to ensure continuous availability
- Follow established protocols for waste disposal and sanitation to promote a healthy environment
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing additional attention or maintenance
- Adhere to all safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and infection control practices
Requirements
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred; experience in healthcare or hospital settings is a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and chemical handling
- Strong understanding of cleaning techniques including floor care, sanitation practices, and environmental services standards
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and extractors safely and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout shifts
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
