Hotel Shuttle Driver / Laundry Assistant

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for transporting guests from and to the airport in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner using safe driving practices. He/She is also responsible for assisting guests with luggage into and out of the shuttle. Inspect the vehicle for damage and cleanliness. Check tire pressure, fluid levels and refuel as necessary. Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs. As the laundry assistant jobs include but not limited to laundering linens, towels, bedding, etc. Stripping rooms, helps fold linen, and other cleanliness duties.

Shuttle driver / Laundry aide responsibilities:

• Drive safely, within posted speed limits.
• Report any vehicle problems to management immediately, i.e., problems with brakes, wipers, lights, tires, etc.
• Pickup and or drop-off guests at the airport.
• Follow scheduled manifest pickup/drop off times.
• Follows Front Desk coordination for shuttle needs.
• Assist guests by loading and unloading luggage.
• Record details of trips such as destinations, passengers, etc.
• Ensure vehicle(s) are properly maintained, fueled, and clean – inside and out.
• Pick up trash inside and outside property.
• Report outage of lights inside and outside property.
• Readily available for guests at all times.
• Take initiative to offer assistance or answer questions throughout the hotel.
• Inspect all linens to identify stains and remove stains with appropriate cleaning products and techniques
• Check that all cleaning supplies are stocked and notify the general manager if any are running low
• Dry clothing and linens after each wash cycle according to the manufacturer's instructions
• Verify that all laundry equipment is in good working order and alert the facilities manager of any repair needs
• Load all laundry into the washer and add specified cleaning agents according to directions
• Help Fold and store linen
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including complete weekend and holiday availability
• Must have great customer service skills – all of our positions come into contact with guests!
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and load/unload guest luggage up to 50 lbs is required
• Must have a valid driver's license

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
