Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take drink orders with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS accurately for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently through effective time management and prioritization skills
- Upsell menu items to increase sales while providing knowledgeable recommendations based on customer preferences
- Handle cash transactions accurately, balancing registers at shift end, and adhering to cash handling procedures
- Collaborate with team members and offer assistance during busy hours.
- Maintain a clean seating area for guests.
Requirements
- Some experience as a bartender.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
- Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods using excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly within the food industry or hospitality sector is essential
- Retail math proficiency for inventory control and sales tracking is a plus
- Knowledge of brewing techniques or beverage crafting is advantageous but not required
