Position Summary: To provide outstanding customer service by welcoming guests at check-in, accommodating guest requests, anticipating guest needs, and providing helpful and attentive service that exceeds expectations. To be an exceptional first point of contact for all guests, whether on the phone or upon arrival at the hotel.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Neat, clean, well-groomed appearance. Appropriate uniform and name tag.
- Responsible for processing transactions accurately and balancing a cash drawer.
- Handle all incoming calls professionally.
- Handle all room and rate changes within hotel specific guidelines and guest needs.
- Coordinate room status with Housekeeping Department.
- Communicate effectively with management, front desk team, and other departments.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Works well as a team member.
- Use a variety of computer systems and web-based software to fulfill guest needs and requests
- Provide information to guests about hotel services, facilities, amenities, and the local area.
- Communicates effectively with guests to understand their wants and needs, accommodates appropriately with urgency.
- Listen and respond positively and professionally to guests' requests or complaints; interact with guests in a friendly and cheerful manner as directed by leadership
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, kneel, grasp, push and pull.
Prior customer service experience is a plus, but not required. Benefits offered include health, dental, life 401k w/match, paid vacation, and room discounts at Marriott hotels.
