Job Description:
The Appraisal Desk Administrator provides administrative support to the Appraisal Desk in the Mortgage Division and is responsible for assisting with the efficiency, adequacy and integrity of the appraisal assignment and rotation for TowneBank Mortgage.
As an Appraisal Desk Administrator, you may look forward to:
Appraiser Approval/Renewal Review
- Quarterly review of panel and rotation with Management
- Use database to analyze use of appraisers
- New Appraiser requests to be submitted by Branch Managers or Management
- Qualifying-review of license, insurance, sample appraisals
- New Area acquisition
- Coordinate new appraiser recruitment with Management
- Annual Review of appraisers
- Current license and insurance
- Annual Review of AMC for out-of-area appraisals
- Level of Service
- Review defined “in-area” zip codes
- Confirm adequate Coverage within “in-area” zip codes
Appraisal Orders
- Initial Orders
- Set-up or Processor submit order request via Custom Screen in Encompass/Track-It Ticket
- Training necessary for guidelines/accountability
- Re-Orders
- Database to alert Appraisal Desk reassignment needed at 1 business day mark.
- Earlier rejection by appraiser
- Appraisal Desk to contact next Appraiser(s) in rotation by telephone until re-order placed
Invoice Processing
- Centralized to Appraisal Desk
- Use Pipeline view to manage
- Invoices to be sent directly to Appraisal Desk and upload to eFolder for reference purposes.
- Request batched invoices from larger appraisers
You are a person that (required skills):
- Has a High school diploma or equivalent
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Is able to communicate across a broad base of internal and external customers
- Has knowledge of computer systems and changing technology, including word processing, internet and internal mortgage software
Physically you can anticipate to:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
