Position Summary
Provides tactical and administrative HR support with a strong emphasis on confidentiality, accuracy, and employee service. Ideal for a new HR graduate or an early-career HR professional ready to grow under the guidance of an HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of new hire onboarding, including preparing documentation, collecting required forms, and ensuring timely completion of I-9s and other compliance items.
- Assist with new hire orientation logistics and materials.
- Maintain highly confidential employee files—digital and physical—in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
- Enter, update, and audit employee data in Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the system.
- Serve as a first point of contact for routine employee questions, escalating to the HR Manager as needed.
- Support HR administrative tasks such as scheduling, preparing documents, and maintaining HR calendars.
- Assist with benefits-related tasks, including open enrollment preparation, communication, and follow-up.
- Respond to employment verifications and assist with unemployment claim responses.
- Help maintain compliance records, required postings, and policy acknowledgments.
- Support HR projects, process improvements, and culture/engagement initiatives as assigned.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field OR at least 1 year of HR experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Paylocity or another HRIS preferred but not required.
- Service-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
