Role Description The Treatment Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Hillsborough, NJ. This position is responsible for presenting and explaining dental treatment plans to patients, reviewing recommended procedures, and outlining associated costs. The coordinator works closely with clinical and administrative teams to verify insurance benefits, estimate patient co-pays, and schedule appointments in alignment with treatment needs. Day-to-day tasks include answering patient questions, supporting financial arrangements, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring clear communication between patients and the dental care team. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and a professional, compassionate approach to patient interactions.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage and coordinate Treatment Planning, including reviewing proposed procedures and discussing options with patients.
- Knowledge of Insurance processes, such as benefit verification and cost estimation.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating a positive, supportive experience for patients.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly explain clinical and financial information.
- Basic understanding of Dental Care concepts, terminology, and common procedures.
- Prior experience in a dental or medical office, particularly in treatment coordination or financial counseling, is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with computers, practice management software and use of Ai Chatbots.
- Some College is required; additional training or coursework in healthcare administration or dental assisting is a plus.
