REGIONAL REVENUE COLLECTOR - TOWN OF WINDHAM
WILLIMANTIC, CT
The Town of Windham seeks qualified applicants for the position of Regional Revenue Collector.
The duties and responsibilities range from planning, organizing, and supervision of billing and collection of taxes, water and sewer user fees, parking program, and other miscellaneous revenues to receiving, depositing, and accounting for all other department collected revenues for multiple municipalities (Windham, Chaplin, Hampton, and Scotland). The work involves the regular exercise of independent judgment and initiative based on general knowledge of the Town’s administrative policies and procedures and considerable knowledge, skill, and ability in public management, accounting, and fiscal control functions.

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting and/or Business Administration; plus four (4) years of experience in principles, policies, and procedures of collecting municipal revenue; or in lieu thereof, an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Connecticut Municipal Collector Certification (CCMC), required. Must possess and retain a valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Must pass a criminal background check and be bondable. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, required. Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred.
This is a full-time exempt position; 38.50 hours/week; Monday-Wednesday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, Thursday, 8:00am to 7:30pm; Salary Grade 10; Salary Range $94,286 to $114,081.
