Position Overview:
The Tax Clerk is responsible for overseeing the collection of real property taxes within the Town of Whitestown, including the collection of Town, County, Village and School taxes. This role involves managing the tax payment process, ensuring accurate and timely collection of tax revenue, maintaining up-to-date records, and providing excellent customer service to property owners and the public.
The Tax Clerk will collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and will work to resolve any issues related to delinquent taxes, disputes, or appeals.

Key Qualifications:
- Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree; OR graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma AND two (2) years of experience; OR four (4) years of experience.
- Town of Whitestown residence preferred
