The Recreation Aide will assist the Recreation Leaders with daily operation of the facility and recreation programs. The Recreation Aide will always work with a Recreation Leader or a full-time Supervisor. An employee in this position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service when assisting the public using various communication methods. The Recreation Aide is a part-time, seasonal position.

- Assist Supervisor with daily operation of the facility and recreation programs.
- Responsible for providing outstanding customer service when assisting the public using various communication methods.
- Must be familiar with the facility and the Town’s programs
- Clean up before, during and after events and rentals.
- Report any damaged equipment or low inventory items to their Supervisor immediately.
- Overseeing park grounds during events and rentals.
- Be active in keeping score and minor statistics in our sports leagues.
- Monitor athletic teams to make sure events are being conducted safely.
- Ensure the court or field is ready for game play.
- Considerable knowledge of athletic field layout and preparation.
- Attends all staff training prior to start of season.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Must be enthusiastic about working with all populations, display personal maturity, have great communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain focused on the job, while dealing with interruptions.
- Ability to read and retain information provided and comprehend verbal instructions from Facility Managers and Recreation Leaders.
