What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Management Dept - Custodian position at TOWN OF WELLESLEY?
The Town of Wellesley?s Facilities Management Department (FMD) is
seeking full-time custodian(s). This is an opportunity to join one of
the top municipal facilities organizations in the area. In 2018, the
Town received a national green cleaning award in recognition of its
outstanding custodial group. The Town offers an outstanding compensation

organization with state-of-the?art custodial equipment, training, and
support. We are looking for reliable individuals with a strong work
ethic who thrive in a team environment and are looking to start a new
career with us. Previous custodial experience is not required, but
preferred. New hires will receive comprehensive training and will be
supervised by an experienced Facility Supervisor. Our custodians perform
all aspects of custodial services and operations for the department. The
work includes cleaning of buildings, minor maintenance work,
landscaping/grounds work, event setup, building security, and emergency
snow/ice response. Candidates must be available for weekend, emergency
and stand-by duties as required, and must have a valid MA Driver?s
license and a High School diploma or GED. The current openings are in
our Middle School building. Work schedule is Monday through Friday from
2:30 pm to 11:00 pm or Tuesday through Friday, from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
and Saturdays from 7:30am - 4:00pm. School vacation and summer hours are
generally all first shift.
