Program Supervisor - Seasonal

The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for the operation and supervision of a number of different recreation programs offered by the Trumbull Parks & Recreation Department.  This position will be involved with programs including, but not limited to, youth basketball leagues, roller skating, and badminton.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Setup/breakdown facility according to needs of the program
2. Attend to injuries
3. Handle conflicts and issues with participants
4. Complete injury/incident reports to be submitted to the Recreation office
5. Limit facility entry to those participating in program
6. Ensure Covid-19 safety protocols are being followed
7. Address other situations as they arise

Recreation Supervisors should possess the following knowledge and skills:

1. Must have the ability to be certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED
2. Good verbal communication skills
3. General knowledge of recreation programs and activities
4. Good leadership skills
5. Strong interpersonal skills
6. Ability to deal with difficult people in a professional manner
7. Conflict resolution skills
8. Must be able to adhere to all Covid-19 protocols set by the Trumbull Parks and Recreation Department and the Trumbull Board of Education
